Sidelights & rearlights don't work, bulbs OK - faulty switch?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm a newbie here, wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction to solve a problem with the lights on my 2014 Roomster.

As per the title, the sidelights and rear lights have stopped coming on.

When I turn the switch further to the 'headlight' position, all the lights come on (all 4 rear light bulbs, plus the sidelight and main beam bulbs inside the headlight units).

I was wondering if perhaps the dashboard switch itself is faulty?

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks!

And it was indeed the switch... I found a 2nd hand one on eBay for less than a tenner, thought it was worth a try.

It's a 2 minute job to swap it over, I had fears of having to dismantle half of the dashboard but fortunately it's much simpler than that.
Swapped the switch over and all the lights are working normally.
I also realised that the 'lights left on' warning bleep hadn't been working when I left my sidelights on, that is also working again.

Thanks for your reply moleinaroomster.
