Need wiring loom part number

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm looking to see ifbanyone can help me our with part numbers. I was looking for the blown up diagram thr dealers sort of use to try and trace the part but I can never find it and if I do its not the right one.

So I have had an ongoing issue in regards to the coolant temp sensor. I had replaced both before and still had the issue which turned out to be a broken wire. So fast forward until now and it's reappeared. It was left in for the auto spark who changed the sensor again  he said it was full of oil he has done this twice now and the light stays off for 24 hours and comes back on. I added a bottle oil leak stop as I think there was a small weep at thr edge of the block and it seems to have worked as it seems dry. Anyway I'm now assuming either the repair has broken or there's another break in the wire so I'm wondering if thr loom which the coolant sensor wire is part off is easily swapped out (just unplug no splicing) and if anyone can give me a part number to be armed with for tps ??

You will need to know if you have a 1U or a 1Z VIN, then you will need to know your Engine Code, and finally be able to decode these VIN strings.

But you are wasting time trying to look for yourself, as TPS will be able to lookup via Reg/VIN and they will find it usually pretty well.

Not saying it doesn't help to be a little prepared, but if you ask for a part number you have found, it could be incorrect.

Rather than aiming to replace wiring looms, I would instead suggest testing to see if the wires from the connector get to their destinations.

Engine code will be needed to find the relevant information.
