Satnav update...Where is.....

Featured Replies

.......'Central, North and South Europe'.

These are the options offered in the update portal but what countries in each Please?

A screenshot or your VIN to lookup would help.

Do you know the filename of the file you have downloaded/been offered?

Might be worth clicking on Instructions and Regions to see what they produce 🤝

You cannot update from the portal for the kamiq it’s done by Skoda connect that does it automatically when one is due if you don’t have Skoda connect you won’t get them

Seems there might be a hack if someone wishes to try (note the system won't import a map it was not designed to read)

Make sure you check the version before, and leave it for a few days to allow it to load new database.

Europe Map, needs a 32GB or bigger USB-C stick

Unpack to root with 7-Zip, to an NTFS or exFAT formatted USB

Thank you both for your advice.

Have run around in circles for a few days.

I have Skoda Connect so will curb my impatience and see what happens.

Again.....  Thanks😉

I think in the interests of science you should try to update from the link, the system won't load the map if it's wrong.

You cannot load from Skoda portal on a memory stick it has to be done on a Skoda memory card. The kamiq system won’t read it

Maps are done twice a year and are not backdated the next is about June. Check your version of nav update and the one now

For my VIN I get a ZIP download option, which can be loaded to USB. It'll then update as your drive - but this only appears after I make sure I 'search' for my VIN.

Was you able to update it yet?

Although I've got Skoda Connect my map date was a bit behind.

Driving around with the maps on a USB did get it caught up so now the OTA update keeps it updated. But the USB files didn't load in one update on mine.
