Gearbox code NBW - same as 0AJ?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to source some new bearings for my Octavia TSI 1.4 gearbox - I'm having difficulty sourcing them under the NBW code that I've got from the boot sticker - from the workshop manual I've found online it looks like the code falls under the 0AJ gearbox which looks like a more generic code covering a number of gearboxes (NBW, LHY, KRG, NBX).

Any idea if this is correct? and why would it be called an NBW, when its also an 0AJ or what is the difference between them?

Thanks

Try your local TPS. They are the official spare parts suppliers to VAG dealers and independents and can supply everything you need.

Spot on. There will be minor differences between these NBW, LHY etc boxes but all are 0AJ family boxes.

If you PM me your VIN I may be able to find some part numbers of the specific bits you're after.
