Why has my Glove Box Lid start opening at the smallest bump in the road recently ?

I have lubricated the pin which goes in and out [ a bit slowly but ...] 

 

Any suggestions please?

There is another long thread relating to this elsewhere. A common fault usually remedied ( sometimes only temporarily ) by fitting a new glove box lid. By all accounts a design fault that was never fixed.

 

 

 

This happened to me and they replaced the lid. No problems since.
