  1. Assuming it is a RH drive car, the passenger mirror dips to allow the driver to see the edge of the kerb, when parking. The rear view camera is designed to give an overall view behind the car.
  2. Thanks @Tell I have Firefox, and in the morning I’ll download turbo manager and try again.
  3. I am having trouble downloading from Škoda portal: https://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/HIGH2_P413-ROW_202522.zip The download repeatedly fails with the message "connection lost" when I try to "resume", the download restarts from 0 again. Is anyone else having this trouble?
  4. @MartiniB The download for Australia is now separate from the ROW files I used to download. The Aus file is 1.96GB. Is that all I need to load, replacing 27GB previously required? EDIT: I have MIB2, so these files are not relevant anyway.
  5. I have been told by the windscreen installer that the ADAS system should not need to be recalibrated as there is a % tolerance in the system that will make up for any changes caused by a new screen. Fact or fiction?
  6. Correct. I have both Mine does the lane assist and is very good and sticks between the lines. I have four the aftermarket replacement is this - https://www.autoglasswarehouse.com.au/skoda~74536454
  7. Advice from the local Skoda dealer is either OEM or aftermarket is okay. Obviously I would like OEM but insurance company only want aftermarket. No idea why the centre punch - with the benefit of hindsight, I'd say to justify the replacement (a scam!) The glass repairer advises they do the recalibration, Skoda say they do. Insurance will take the least cost but I won't. My screen apparently has "rain sensor" is that in the equipment behind the rear view mirror? The wipers work when any rain hits the screen no matter how slight? The car is fitted with the "Tech Pack 206" and "Comfort Pack".
  8. Sorry to resurrect this old post but this is the only one I have found on windscreen replacement. I had a small chip in my screen and the insurance company referred me to O'Brien Glass (local in Australia). They proceeded to do their chip repair and promptly hit the chip with an automatic centre punch! now I have a real crack! My question is the replacement screen under warranty and what I need to ensure so that all the ACC, Rain Sensor etc. all are fitted properly afterwards. Any advice please? George
  9. A very good analysis from @leolito and I too use some of the techniques he describes. I also love how ACC maintains the speed limit whilst descending hills, something my other cruise control cars do not do.
  10. I love it too. I am a paraplegic so the ACC and lane assist are ideal for me. Without ACC etc., having one hand on the steering wheel and one on the brake/accelerator, is very tiresome on medium to long journeys. Oh, and don't get me talking about the exorbitant cost of hand controls -$6500 for what you see in the image.
  11. It seems they are no longer available? I found these - they lack the cables, so I'm not sure if they are a requirement? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005382601685.html
  12. Initially my service records appeared in the MySkoda app, but that has been removed. The vehicle status and health report are gone also, making the app useless here in Australia.
  13. Thanks for sharing - A great review to sort out the hype from reality.
