I've been reading some threads since joining. Great forum!

 

As per the title I'm looking to get hold of an Octavia Estate 1.5TSI SE L maybe 3 to 4 years old. Pref manual. I would be happy to hear any advice, what to look out for, known issues on that age/type.

 

Theres definitely more choice if I look at SE Tech as well and a touch cheaper, but I like the SEL.

 

My current VW 2005 Passat Estate still has MOT till the end of the year and I'm wondering if it would be better to wait as long as possible to see if prices come down.

well, that was exactly that I was looking at last week, and walked way from  - very very low mileage -  but the car lunged and was hard to do hill starts on

 

Google  Skoda "1.5tsi judder kangeroo" ....  it can impact all VW 1.5tsi engines

 

My thoughts: if it seems too good to be true, there is probably a fault!
