Connecting Aftermarket Subwoofer to Canton System

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Rockford Fosgate P300-12 subwoofer that already has an in built amplifier. I took it out of my previous Skoda Superb which didn't have the Canton system. Now I'm looking at installing it in my new Superb which has the Canton system in it. Is it possible to somehow disconnect the existing sub and replace it with the Rockford Fosgate?

Yes, but:

You need power to the sub

You need to grownd the sub to the chasis

You need the Helix AAC.3 HP Hi-Low adapter to trick the can speaker checks and get an output/rockford input signal

You can't feed the Hi (Direct connection of the sub speaker wires) to the Rockford

Get the Helix, select Lo (Low) input on Rockford and enjoy

Thank you so much @Internetdivisor. I thought it would be more complicated connecting it to the Canton system. I appreciate your insights 👍

Also, please check and do this with the Hi-Low input:
