Limp Mode Octavia 2015 2.0 TDI automatic

Featured Replies

Hi I have a  skoda octavia elegance TDI CR S-A  my glow plug lights came on and there was a bubbling noise coming from diesel pump send/feed unit it then went into limp mode. After restarting engine it seemed to clear then came back on again. I changed the diesel feed part from the tank same symptoms came back within 3 days and now it’s the same problem it starts and splutters and makes same noise again and goes into limp mode.

It’s now been on a diagnostic and it said glow plug problem should I change them?? It also said I have insufficient diesel pressure

any ideas on what it could be or what to do next??  Thanks in advance

Concentrate on the insufficient diesel pressure as that's what will cause poor running.

Faulty glow plugs will just make starting more difficult.

Thanks for the reply have you any ideas why it could be doing that to the pressure I’m beginning to think it maybe that the replacement pump is faulty or a faulty ECU

Not owned many diesels so can't be overly helpful , but first thought is have you checked the fuel filter?

Other possibility I can think of is an injector stuck open, have you smelt the dispstick? Does it smell of diesel?
