help please! worrying noise from front wheel

Featured Replies

I have a 2003 Skoda Fabia Estate 1.9tdi Elegance. Its still got under 30000 miles on the clock.

Yesterday I heard a chiming, ringing noise from the front driver side wheel and within a couple of hundred yards it turned into a squealing grinding sound.

I've already had to have both rear discs replaced (at 26000 miles, because the pads were binding I think) and I wonder if it is something similar in the front now.

I never heard anything like this from the rear discs. Any ideas please would be very gratefully accepted as I'm WORRIED!!!

Thanks,

Munsterlander

Not saying it is definitely this, but I got a stone trapped between the caliper and the disc on a toyota Celica I used to own. The noise was incredible, but when I popped the stone out it was fine. Hope it's an easy one for you too.

Have you had a look to see if anything is not as it should be?

Get your hands dirty. Get the wheel off and take a look:thumbup:
