DQ381 Servicing

Featured Replies

Hi I am wondering if anyone has left their DSG to 50-80k to get serviced?

Mines on 38k now and debating about getting in done, I know the dealer charged around 270 and thats not even the filter which VAG don't suggest is changes.

I'm planning on getting mine done at 8 years, but I have a 2019 car with 15K miles.

I'd love to offer some sage advice based on personal experience or expertise, but all I've got is the servicing schedule, which says 8 years or 80K miles.

If you've really got an itch to get it serviced, how about getting the DSG fluid done now, and the fluid and filter done at 80K/8years, whichever is sooner?

See 1st March Post by me.

I would have the DQ381 service done at a main dealer and be sure you have an extended warranty that covers the DSG.

Failures might be few and far between, but only time will tell.

Hey, main dealer kept saying to get it serviced at 80k and that it was not necessary until then (previous owners did not have it done either and all services were done at Skoda so I would not see why they would not get it done there if it was recommended at 40k), I opted to get it done at 55k not long after I got the car, it gives me peace of mind for about 3-5 years now until it's due again, I think for the price and how often you have to do it, it's worth it.
