felicia no brake lights

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone help with a scan of the fuse box/wiring diagram for the 1.3 Felicia.

I have no brake lights and having checked the bulbs, stop switch and fuse it looks like a fuse box or wiring fault.

The hazard lights work as they are on the same fuse.

I have checked for 12 volt supply on the brake switch as well and there is nothing.

Also, is there a known problem with a loud ticking noise behind the dash around the speedo that is now audible at all times and is speed dependent.

ie the ticking increases in speed the faster you go and stops when still.

The speedo was allegedly changed under guarantee at 10000 miles but started again shortly after the guarantee ran out.

Drives me mad.

Any help would be appreciated.

Marion

'Haynes' shows the wire colour between fuse F14(Terminal BD/12) and stop switch (Terminal 1) as Black/ Red.

No scanner I'm afraid but hope this helps.

My 1997 Felicia 1.6 has had the ticking speedo problem for years. The noise comes and goes but the speedo is currently quiet.

Thanks all for the info, it seems that the stop switch is intermittent.

So it's off to Kevin Coopers for a new one at £5.90.

I cannot afford to have the speedo replaced so I will have to get some ear plugs.

Someone told me there is a plastic thingy on the back of the speedo that makes all the racket.

Hi marion with you on that speedo grrrrrrrrrrr! Mine gets worse when its hot out

however on pervious '95 lxi' a certain garage cured the fault :) great no tickkky tick tick........... but they broke the windscreen ripped the dash out and never bothered to refit properly. Result me and mechanic almost at war!!! Told there is a disclaimer they damage not their fault at the booking in desk...... reminded them they met me outside and took the keys from me!!!

Took to another skoda garage no where near Bedford, and the bill was passed on for payment.

was advised here to turn the radio up :) well that or 'try' not to hear it... easier said than done!

ps to lights ..... my rear lights and brake lights fail all the time, change the bulbs and they work for a bit then not.......... yet the bulbs are not blown! have a scrub about in the lamp socket and no probs :) except the philips bulbs that seemed to burn so hot (i mean SOOOOO hot) and the dual brake/rear always illuminated i had to get them out. garage i got them from saw no fault............ duh?
