Window and leccy mirror boken

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Read here often, but don't post much :)

I've a 51 Elegance TDi with electric windows (all round!) and electric heated wing mirrors

The passenger window and leccy mirror have both stopped working. Luckily, it stopped working in the up position!

I've checked the fuses (fine) and have followed the door card removal guide and checked the connections and they're fine too. I'd put it down to a knackered connection between the car and the door, but both speakers and the red door light both are working fine?

Anyone have any ideas what it might be? The car's out of warranty and I want to check as much as I can before taking it for an expensive outing at the dealer.

Many thanks in advance,

Lee

Check for broken wires where they go from the door to the body. You could try removing and replacing the fuse. Also check both sets of pins at the door control unit, any corrosion can result in a broken pin.
