Hello.

I have an Octavia II, 1.6 FSI (petrol) 2006. Can someone please tell me the location of the oil filter, how to access it and how to unscrew it (i.e. if this might pose a problem)? The instruction manual says nothing about this.

Viewing from the front of the car with the bonnet up the oil filter is top left on the engine above the alternator.

Forgot to mention - it's worth covering / protecting the alternator just in case you have an oil spill on removal.
