2016 1.6TDI - Which type of AC Gas?

Hi all,


My own 2015 RS takes R134a gas - according to the sticker on the bonnet - however my friend's car, a 2016 1.6TDI Elegance - is missing the sticker. The car was built in June 2016 and the manual says nothing about the type of AC gas. 

 

Anyone have any similar model? Hopefully it's the 134a as opposed to the far more expensive 1234.
