Hi all. I’ve been trawling the groups. It’s been a while since I needed to change disks and pads. Used to do this work in the past on my own cars. Here are the tools I’ve sort of gleaned from other threads:

Carly ODBELEVEN or does any one recommend a model?

Combination spanner 13 & 15

Triple Square XZN Socket bit 14

Torx Bit T30

Torque Wrench

Impact Wrench

Brake cleaner, small wire brush and brake grease (copper grease in the old days)

New disks and pads

Do I need a wind back tool or do I follow this process:

There's no need to leave the car switched on while you're working on the brakes, the park brake system will remember it's in service mode and allow you to reset it when you switch back on afterwards.

The important things are:

  1. don't turn the piston to retract it, push it straight back
  2. don't reset until the brakes are fully reassembled
