Felicia 1.6 Fuel pipes

Featured Replies

I have posted the query below in my original Fuel Savers thread but thought I would also create a new thread.

In order to fit a Posivflow device I need to identify the fuel lines;

My car is a Felicia 1.6Glxi with VW AEE engine, multipoint injection (Magneto Marelli I think!).

There are two fuel pipes connected to the end of the fuel rail - one is the inlet and one is the return but they don't seem to be marked with a direction.

Does anyone know if the inlet is the one closest to the injectors or the one closest to the regulator (end of the rail)?

Haynes isn't too clear on this one although looks like it may be the side closest to the injectors.

If not I will have to trace the lines back to the fuel pump but would be great if anyone has this info.

Many thanks.

if you look very closely they should have arrows on the fuel rail and also the fuel pipes should be colour coded. blue is return. the supply is either brown, white, or black

anyway. supply is the one nearest the injectors, nut theoretically it shouldn't matter anyway.

Thanks for the reply.

I had another look and there is possibly an arrow marking on the inlet but isn't particulary distinguishable and both pipes are standard black fuel pipe. However I opted for the one nearest to the injectors and thanks for confirming this.

I appreciate this probably doesn't matter with respect to the fuel delivery but I am trying out a Fuel saver device which I think has to be on the supply?
