What sound dampening mat do you use for the boot area? As I have a cunning plan to fit full size spare wheel, meaning I have to raise my floor level by 25-30mm I am looking for solution that will not cost me arm and leg, will be safe (fire resistant) and will be stiff enough to take the weight of the stuff in the boot. Could you please propose something? I have been searching on internet but there are so many products that I do not know which one will be the best for my use.

 

I have been thinking about using Rockwool RW5 as it is rather dense, perfect for sound proofing and easy to deal with. What else is suitable please - all suggestions welcome. Thanks.
