Retro fitting LED DRL bulbs

Featured Replies

I have a 2017 Mk 3 Skoda Superb and want to change the DRL (Sidelight) bulbs and Headlight Bulbs to LED.

Can anyone supply any information on which bulbs to use and how to fit them?

From the photos the sidelight looks like a 382 bulb

the headlight looks like a H7.

Take note that as the side light is used as a dimmable bulb you will struggle to find a suitable LED replacement - most will just flicker constantly.

Also take note that fitting an LED headlight bulb in a non approved housing is illegal and also an instant MOT fail.

Can you recommend any brighter bulbs that will work?

What do you actually mean by « brighter » ?

Do you look for more powerful DRLs

or brighter / whiter color?
The bulb type may strongly depend on your answer.

A brighter/whiter DRL and a brighter (more powerful) Headlight Bulb.

Welcome to Briskoda. You can get LED’s to replace the 382‘s and definitely get brighter Halogens than those you’ve got fitted, however they will be expensive.

Take a look on Powerbulbs. They have a massive range of all types at good prices.
