Car locks itself randomly? Seat doesn't adjust height?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Thought I'd add both questions into one rather than multiple posts.

First off, ever since having someone code my key back to the car, my lock button doesn't work 100% of the time but the unlock does?

And since the man had sorted my key out whenever I unlock the car sometimes it'll randomly lock itself, and if the front passenger door is open it sets the alarm off?  What could be the cause of this?

And secondly, whoever had the car before me had the seat in the lowest position which I don't really like to drive in, but it won't go back up, it just cranks?

I thought that all Fabia Mk1s randomly lock you out, that's why I never leave the key in it even if getting out for a few seconds.

Do any of your doors cause an alarm to go off?

No, but I think my alarm is disabled somehow, not that it bothers me, who would steal a 20 year old Skoda ?

Just to rule it out - you are pulling the adjustment handle upwards aren't you?
