Alarm Going Off

Featured Replies

2021 1.5TS estate. My car alarm went off earlier on the drive and there was no way I could stop it. Unlocked car, started car, stopped car, locked car. All made no difference and had to wait a full 5 minutes until it went off on its own.
Rang dealer, workshop had gone home, bloke said battery might be low. Checked it at 11.93v resting and rang AA. Unfortunately one of their "partners" will be attending and as they are a local recovery company, not a garage, I can be reasonably confident that they won't have a battery. Question is; when the alarm goes off again, which no doubt it will, probably in the middle of the night, how can I override it and turn it off before my neighbours lynch me? Any assistance appreciated.

I've just this evening experienced exactly this issue, with the same annoying experience of not being able to deactivate the alarm at all, several times......and now fearful it will re-occur overnight!

Was any assistance or explanation forthcoming @Tried5UserNames ?

Sadly not, although (touch wood) there hasn't been a recurrence for me.
