How easy is it to change the speakers?

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried this in the MK4?

Plenty of posts to read on this subject, only a few pages back on this forum.
Why would anyone open a new topic before even trying a quick search???

Why not?

I just did a search and only one topic on it and doesn't say how easy it is.. Also they have an RS which probably has the kanton audio system.

So you haven't searched enough :)

I have replaced speakers, and i don't have Canton. Information on speakers, connection method and some photos of the door that explain on how to do it. Instructions on how to remove front side windows so that you can dumpen the door inside. Everything is there.

Also info on plug and play amplifier that works very well with O4 and those speakers. Everything can be found. Please use search.

To answer just on how easy it is - fairly easy if you are more or less good with tools and possibly have removed door cards in any car before.

Google now returns this post when I search for speaker upgrades. Please link 🙏. From your experience do you think the speakers alone won't constitute a decent upgrade... is new amp essential?
