Whilst deiving on the highway (in a foreign country, on the way to the holiday hotel) managed to “catch” a stone and this happened. 
Have spoken to a guy and said it’s not 100% sure a repair would work. 
On top, is there a problem as the windshiled is heated (can the wiring be affected)?

No idea if it can be repaired. WRT a replacement, there is no additional issue just because it’s heated.
