On a side note these springs on these cars are absolutely ****e, I've had 2 go ( 1 in 2 places ) and my previous 2011 superb was the same, when will VW sort these crap springs put?

    I’ve just re-read my post and realised that I didn’t explain very well. The gauge read one big division below half full BEFORE I filled up with fuel. It read full afterwards. Sorry for the confusion.

    Never, probably.  More likely to continue to get worse (cheaper, lighter, thinner, painted with more environmentally friendly paint).

They can’t be that bad. The car has done almost 90k miles since I bought it in 2017 and it’s towed our caravan around 15k miles in that time and this is the first time it has suffered a broken spring

My previous Audi a6 avant did 340k and springs was good, yes it's a vag car but only seem to get this on Skodas and read numerous issues on here with broken springs so it's a bit of a strange one.
