Well " Olly the Octy is one year old today.

Still makes me smile when I have a road to play on.

I've just done 700 miles in a brand new rental 1.8lx Mondeo in the far north of Scotland and missed my Octy at every sweeping bend and Camper Van I encountered.

Stats so far 39,000 miles covered ave mpg 36(not bad for non-tractor car)

2 suprise visits to dealer (coil packs and an ecu error with Skoda uk involved, all resolved quickly )

Still looks like new inside but a few to many paint chips for my liking

Now wearing premacy boots alround, half the noise of the bridgestones.

Light assist thing and autowipers still annoy though

Mine's got exactly 2 weeks to go. [2.0FSI manual]. No warranty work [except a pretend job supposed to fix the door seal, which is not too bad now anyway.] Only coming up for 8000 miles though. Not that unhappy with Bridgestones - might try others when they wear out but that shouldn't be for two years yet! No complaints at all really.

Just did my road tax renewal on line- works real neat! No more queueing up at post offices.
