Haldex Drive Shaft Removal

Featured Replies

Hi there

I'm trying to remove the drive shafts from the Haldex Unit on my Superb. One side came out really easy but the other side is refusing to move, all the bolts are removed and I can't work out why. There was a substantial amount of grease on the outside of the unit so grease is obviously escaping.

Am I missing something obvious?

@J.R.should be able to guide you.

There is a thread in the Yeti section and elsewhere on it.

Not me, still putting off removing and rebuilding mine.

My current strategy is to kid myself that the transmission noise is really a combination of my nicely scrubbed down to the legal limit tyres and having removed the rear seats and parcel shelf to use it as a builders van.

When some cheap new tyres come up I will know for sure or I could swap to the new winter tyres before then.
