Boot release issues

Featured Replies

Hi all, had a problem with the boot for a while. It unlocks only with the middle button on the fob but not when all doors are unlocked, which makes it annoying if I want to open the boot (e.g. keys out of ignition to open) I suspect it's the boot release button that's an issue, but a minefield on trying to find the correct part and how easy would it be to replace? Looks like I'd have to remove the trim from the boot door. Thanks in advance

Oh I should say it's a 66 plate too.

Welcome to the forum.

The boot handle is known for failure a lot. If you send me a photo of your boot handle, I keep them in stock so can send you one out for £20 posted, fully tested and working.

regarding changing it, yes you have to remove the inside trim and push it out from the inside.

Hi thanks for the reply!

I've attached a couple of pictures, sorry for the bad quality, it's quite sunny. I'd be happy to pay for a replacement. Cheers
