Decided on the Karoo, but can’t decide which engine. Some reviews say the 1.0 is poor on hills on motorways. Is this true enough and the 1.5 is the better option.

We bought a Sportline 1.5dsg a few months back and have been very impressed with how responsive the engine has been, even uphill 😄 

The Karoq replaced a Freelander, and before that we had a Forester and Impreza so different animals altogether, but apart from the fact we’re now just 2wd, I don’t regret the purchase. 
Never driven the 1.0 so no comparison I’m afraid
