Octavia diesel vrs revs dropping and returning

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm sorry in advance if this has been addressed but I'm really stuck

My cars been a complete nuisance at the moment, 6 months ago it was semi cutting out on me dropping in revs then fine then dropping again, so I changed the fuel filter and bang perfect again.

Now present day it started doing it again so I did a filter and no change now it's progressively gotten worse on the build.up in rpm it suddenly drops then comes back then drops comes back then it will drive fine then die again it's a huge pain, I noticed it got worse with the heat but now it's constant.

So I have replaced the fuel lift pump and noticed oil recidue in  the tank not good maybe vacuum pump ? On top of that since I changed it I went and filled up with fuel and on my way back the car was playing up as usual but the fuel gauge slowly went down and down and down like the fuel was draining out of the tank.

This car is slowly killing me and I'm really fed up of it now but I need it for work.

I will also add it's had a remap as I cut the dpf out as it was blocked a while ago egr was blanked and mapped out I am at a huge loss and don't know where to go forward with it.

Please help 😞

No problem at all.

I only replied as you're unlikely to get any support for your problem in this forum.

Don't worry about it, it all seems a bit complicated at first on here, but it's easy enough to get your head around once you have been posting a bit.

Don't be discouraged if you don't get a quick response, or a response at all. Sometimes that happens.
