Mk3 RS Coilover Query

Featured Replies

Hi folks, hoping I can get some clarity on an issue I've come across in my mk3 rs

I've had brand new coilovers fitted in the past few days and the back is absolutely fine. The front however has a terrible clanging sound at times when turning the steering. Additionally when driving over any rough sort of road there as some serious clunk's coming from the front of the car

I've had the topmount bushings and bearings as well as both front droplinks replaced with new ones at the time of fitting the coilovers.

As far as I can find from googling the clanging may be spring bind? If so how could I test or remedy this?

As for the clunking noise are there common items that could cause this when lowering MQB vehicles? There is approx 25 to 30mm of additional lowering available on the front of the car also.

Thanks in advance!
