Cruise Control Fault

Hi everyone, 

Wondered if anyone could provide any info/guidance on a problem I am having. 

Bought a 14 plate Octavia Elegance 1.6TDI in January 23, everything been fine so far. 

My cruise control works fine apart from when I indicate right, it immediately turns off and when I try turn back on I am met with the orange warning sign. This only happens when I indicate right, works fine if indicating left. 

If I turn the engine off and then back on CC comes back on straight away. Been a couple of times since this problem that when I turn CC on nothing happens, like it isn't registering, this is after the error light comes up. 

The CC buttons are on my indicator stalk. 

Do I need a new stalk? 

Does it need to be taken apart and cleaned? Or a new switch? 

I believe there is different type of stalk which is a separate stalk altogether, just for CC (so 3 stalks coming out of the steering column instead of 2) would this fit my Octavia? 

I drive as part of my job and use the CC a lot so I can concentrate on unfamiliar roads without having to worry about speeding. Also use on motorways 

Obviously thinking of going to a garage to see if there is an error code that would shed some light on the issue. 

But thought I would see if anybody else has encountered this problem.
