vRS remap undo back to factory defaults

Featured Replies

My vRS estate 2009 has a problem with fuel injectors and my local garage thinks the issue might well have been caused by a remap at some point. The diagnostic tool they use keeps giving errors indicating a remap. Can a remap be undone back to factory defaults and if so, would a Skoda garage be recommended as I have very little history of the car and no idea where it was remapped. Many thanks.

I would suggest taking it to somewhere that does maps and ask them to look at it to see if there is evidence of it being mapped. A remapped ecu should be able to read the diagnostic codes the same as an unmapped one. Either something else is wrong or your garage has issues with it's kit.

Many thanks for your reply. I’ll do just that. Do you know if a remap can be undone?

Yep it can but I'm not sure if the mapper will need a base map to go from...

Thanks so much for replying. I’ll start investigating nearby options.
