There's also the Volvo EX30 coming in at £33, not the cheapest but good up-market alternative to e-C3.

Thread title really said what it was about.  Under £25,000 RRP.s

The EX30 seems to be one that people will need to decide on the Screen & Controls.

Sorry, I thought they were comparable in terms of size.

It has a 10.3 kWh battery.

90 miles divided by 10,  9 miles a kWh.  Fantastic.

10x 26.6 pence a kWh, her tariff. £2.66

(10 x 22.03 pence my tariff. £2.23)

(Since last Thursday in my Mini Electric i have done 40 miles in town, average speed at 12.9 mph, and i will never have been above 20 mph.

Car at 77% but it will be 13 or a bit more kWh to get back to 100%. it has been getting 3.3 miles a kWh.

13 x 22.03 pence a kWh, £2.60.

Not a bad price if ready to move on a new car. My sister paid a grand more for a 6 month old one last year, so she's not going to be best pleased.

Leasing prices are coming down, probably due to volume discounts by the manufacturers. Lease prices are looking more attractive than PCP presently. I could get an ID.7 tourer for £90 less than I was paying for the ID.4 PCP in 2021.

As one who likes an estate, those ID7 Tourer lease prices look sorely tempting (no idea if the prices are still available but they seem to have hung around a week or 2).
Ideally Skoda would make an EV estate, and I know they have previously said that's planned, but they sadly don't seem to be in any hurry.

Looking like decent sized EV's are reaching realistic prices (admittedly not RRP) .............

Those MG5 estates have been around a while now and I saw a story somewhere a few months ago which suggested they'd be replaced by something more like a stretched MG4.
From reviews I saw, those old MG5s aren't great for rear passengers due to the floor being high relative to the seats.

Same here, but ID.7 is too big. Its longer and wider than my ID.4 so will struggle to fit on the drive and be more awkward on the lanes around here. After my car was hit by the bin lorry while on my drive, I like my cars to be tucked well onto the drive. However, when I played with the numbers, an ID.4 of similar spec to the ID.7 tourer was similar money on the lease and cheaper than my PCP from 2021.

An Octavia/Golf sort of EV estate is really what I want. I tried the Astra and it was a bit pants inside but maybe that's because my ID.4 is nice....

Yeah my driveway would be tight for the length of an ID7 too - same problem with a Superb estate if I went for a PHEV.

I had a go in an Enyaq the other day and it's noticeably wider than my (Mk3) Octavia estate - I'm surprised if the ID7 is much wider? (Assuming ID4s and Enyaqs are similar width?)

The Astra Estate/ Peugeot 308SW (pretty much the same car underneath I believe) seem to have gone for a smaller/ lighter battery and better efficiency- I like the idea in theory but the range is just a bit too short. Also the rear seat is a bit tight for space. Plus I like the idea of EV flappy paddles to control regen as you can get on Enyaqs (sadly not the one I tried), and the regen on Astras etc seems to be more basic.

As Skoda seems to be reluctant to put the new 1.5 PHEV powertrain in Octavias for some reason I might even end up with a Seat Leon PHEV estate - I like the look of the Superb but again it's too long.

When comparing I spotted ID.7 is 400mm longer than ID.4 and 10mm wider. Not much in the width but length difference is considerable. Given the ID.4 is already 300mm longer than my previous Karoq, you can see why I'd run out of space. Enyaq is slightly longer than the ID.4. Maybe the upcoming Elroq will be similar dimensions to a Karoq and be a more compact alternative.

Of course the Irish market is distorted, both North and South, is subjecting the Chinese EVs with massive Countervailing duties so a Korean or non Chinese car have a massive advantage in having a much lower landed cost.

Not sure the Inster will do that well up against the LFP or NMC Renault 5, Grand Panda and the like in UK or Ireland.

A weird looking one IMO.

Doing really well

The Micra seems like a good replacement for Leaf local runabout in a few years time, second hand. Got to get wife to sit in one (or R5) to see how she likes it. Initial impression isn't good, Nissan hasn't brought enough of their design elements to the R5, feels like a R5 with restyled lights.

I see there's a Dacia Spring in our area, a few roads away. Along with a super bright Wallbox charge point that shines like the sun in the night.

Goes quite well.

Seats are awful and need adapting.

Very cheap and could siut many as a city run around or second car. Finance deals on new also very good, prereg not so good deals.
