Multifunctional Indicator Not Working

Featured Replies

Hi all! I recently purchased a 2011 Fabia 1.6 estate. I had issues with it, so had it repaired under the warranty.

Since the repair, I haven't been able to operate the multifunctional indicator (view the mpg, distance driven etc.). The rocker switch does nothing anymore. I also had to enter a code into the radio as it locked up from the battery being disconnected.

Has anyone else experienced this, or know what I need to do?

Thanks in Advance,

Antony

What was repaired under the warranty ?

We need to see if the repair is "linked"...........

It was the AC pump that was repaired, I believe. The car was smoking and making a grinding noise.

I wondered if the removal of the battery might be linked, in a similar way that the radio goes into safe mode?

Strange for the switch to stop working then as the repairs do not seem linked.

It is "possible", battery removal or disconnection has caused this, unlikely but anything is possible with modern vehicle electrics.

Just to confirm, when you say multifunction indicator......you mean the indicator stalk ? I thought cruise was on the end of that and your trip was on the wiper stalk ?

Apologies I was using the terminology used in the manual (perhaps not the best naming). I meant the wiper stalk, the trip button on the end should change the data shown.

As  you say, anything is possible. Many thanks for your help anyway! Now debating whether to annoy the garage with yet another issue!

Have you tried pressing the button on the underside? of the stalk that gives the option of current, or since re-set readings.

I've tried this too, unfortunately this button doesn't do anything either.
