Featured Replies

Hi guys my rear brake callipers seems to seize up. I clean them once and it was ok for week and happened again . Passenger wheel getting hot and I think it seize up again. Previously when it’s happens pads and discs look worn now and Iam gonna replace them . Problem is I don’t want to do that before Iam not sort problem with that callipers problem. Is any way you can refurbish them or where to look for new ones ?

Or maybe try to buy rebuild kit on EBay

The root cause may be a corroded piston rod in the caliper. Hydraulic pressure makes the pads press the disc without problem, but corrosion probably prevents the piston rod to slide back in the caliper when you release brake pedal.

If you bring your Mk3 to a local Indy, he should be able to fix this easily. Then, no problem to replace pads and discs. ;)
