Air Bag warning light

Featured Replies

Hi all

Hope your all getting into the festive spirit .. Question just come back from Norfolk and the yellow air bag warning light has come on and stays on should I be worried and is it expensive to fix  .... Thank you Gary

Could it just be a connector disturbed below a seat?

The Fix might cost nothing but the diagnosis might cost you more than 30 minutes plus VAT at a dealership.

Funnily enough, I've just had the same problem.  It turned out to be a "false positive", so just needed a reset by the dealer, though would have been covered by warranty otherwise.  They still had the car in all day though!

Thanks for all your replies got a mechanic coming Monday morning with his magic box .... Gary

Same problem last month, my local rural garage with limited diagnostic software box came out to check via Skoda Assist/AA, the box diagnostic data said it was an issue with a passenger side airbag.

Took it into Hawco Skoda Inverness a fortnight or so ago for a £100 diagnostic check, I'm told that the airbags are OK and the fault is in the airbag warning light module.

Off to Inverness tomorrow (160 mile round trip) to get the module replaced.
