Adjusting wastegate

Featured Replies

Is it possible to adjust the wastegate on the RS to change the point of boost, or lower boost levels? I ask this because my cars going in for an MOT next week and I'm worried someone might want to "take it on a test drive" just to see if all's well of course:rolleyes:

As far as i know you shouldn't adjust the actuator arm cos it can cause problems so best bet would be to leave it,can't see what you can do other than to sit and wait for the MOT to be done, they shouldn't need to take it for a test drive to be honest

Is there any tell tale signs of a dying turbo other than smoke out the exhaust?

Take the actuator arm off, that should do the trick.

PS don't take the hose off the back of the actuator!!
