Bolero music system snags

Featured Replies

I have just joined this site because I bought a 2023 Scala 1.5 SE last week and have had trouble with the Bolero infotainment system.

I have managed to get my moto e5 phone to connect via a cable to AA and that works, but access seems limited to only some of the content; and specifically not music.

In previous vehicles (Mazda 3 and Honda CRV) I have been able to attach my old Sansa Clip+ mp3 player which plays .wma music files.

I would like to connect that again and have the appropriate cable but the Bolero screen says that it is not supported and the USB ports are greyed out on the screen.

I bought the car from a Skoda main dealer and was assured that all software updates were complete.  As my Clip+ is now somewhat old technology, I can't help thinking that an update is not the problem.

I am quite happy to buy another mp3 player or similar device as a cheap way of resolving this - can anyone suggest any such device that the Bolero system will accept?

Alternatively, are there any other ideas out there?

Many thanks
