Just thought I would say a quick hello. just got myself an 03 Octavia VRS in black. First skoda I have owned, was very impressed with the looks and performance on the test drive. Will have it this time next week.

Does anyone have any quick tips for things to do when I first get the car??

Fill it with petrol - it's bound to be nearly empty. Nice car though

Good for you! Picked up my black 03 vRS three weks ago. Can't stop driving the thing! My first Skoda too, it's just so SMOOTH - and the smell of the leather, mmmm!

A nice side effect is that it's good for my liver, not drinking nearly as much now that I might just want to pop to Tesco at night for an extra tin of beans. Actually, as discussed elsewhere, Tesco do some good car stuff - magic trees are cheap, good micro fibre sponge for washing and micro fibre cloths for drying.

As has been said , when you first get it fill it up with petrol and just drive it.

When you think that the grin factor is starting to wear off , get it remapped.

Ooooo you will looove it!!!

Possibly a Carbonio and a DV to give you the noise.....
