Android auto woes - again!

Featured Replies

Took delivery of my new Superb on Monday and struggling to get android auto working properly. In my old car (2021 superb) my phone, Samsung galaxy fold 3, connected automatically wirelessly. I did have the odd glitch when it failed to connect for no obvious reason but it fixed itself in due course without me changing anything.

Now I've set up the same phone with my new superb and I'm finding that it will connect wirelessly and everything loads but a few moments or sometimes minutes later it disconnects android auto and I have to attach a USB lead to get it to reconnect.

I have googled this issue and I'm not alone. However no one seems to have got to the root of the problem hence I'm trying on here to see if anyone has any ideas. Phone is fully up to date and so is car.

One other query while I'm here. What is the point of the WiFi option in the settings menu, I can't figure out if I need it on or off. In any event I don't know what the password is to connect to it, manual doesn't help and Google has been no use to me.

Any help from the gurus on here to either of these issues would be greatly appreciated!
