As above or rather ,how to get them off. Have keys to  undo covers move side tab lift lever all moves away from rail but can't lift bars off

Are there hidden fittings.cant find enything about these on Internet.

Maybe you could say which brand and model these roof bars are.

If someone has the same, he can answer you more easily / quickly.  

Skoda own brand..found some info. Looks like the rubber pads are just stuck to rails as been on from new .

Then if Skoda brand, they're most likely Thule ones actually, I guess. 🤔

Not really surprised that they've got stuck, if installed from new. Try then to spray some WD40 to unstick them...

Dragging this back up, as I have some Skoda Superb roof bars, a Thule roof box and three Thule roof mounted bike carriers.

That is a lot of different keys.

 

If these are made by Thule, can I change the lock barrels out in the same way?

They look very similar.

They are very similar, but not identical.

You cannot swap them out with the Thule lock barrels.

One off-topic hint/suggestion: Grind/clear the number on the lock barrel with a dremel or sand paper(you can keep the one on your key since it stays in your pocket and it's not visible). This number matches a key for easier purchasing if lost or stolen. But the thieves have all of them and that really makes their jobs easy.

 

It won't stop them, but it will slow them down...
