NSF replacement driveshaft discontinued part replacement advice needed, (part no 6Q0407271CE)

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

My mk1 Fabia VRS just had a service, my mechanic advised the NSF driveshaft is creaking on rotation, however cannot get the above part, to replace it.  Therefore advised I try and get hold of and they will fit.  (The garage only use official oem parts).

Can anyone recommend a good third party part, or is it worth a punt on a used from a scrappers?  Or is this a bit of a lottery?

Any help appreciated

Jay

The original part number was 6Q0407451JX which then superseeded to 6Q0407271CE which was discontinued on 01/05/2022.

The original part manufacturer was Spidan.

Have the garage not thought of stripping, cleaning, regreasing and putting new boots on the original driveshaft?

Thanks Both,

Its going in to a local garage next month, who want to see it first, (I originally took to a specialist who advised of the above).  If I hear anything worth posting, I'll add to this post 🙂

I have used the following - purchased through Ebay at the time but now identified their website - in the past with no issues. Scrapper you do not know what you are getting. J&R Trading - J&R Trading (UK) Ltd (jandrcvjoints.co.uk)

Glad it worked for you, but I had one of theirs fail within a year, they sold me a new one, but didn't refund the one I returned. The new one also failed in a year. This was a nside on a 6L Ibiza pd130, so probably the same part.
