ABS/esp long coding lost.

Recommended Posts

Hi all, firstly I would like to thank you beforehand for all your help. Here’s what’s happened…

I have a Skoda Fabia 2014 (early) and I have been doing some repairs on it. I noticed the the lights on the dashboard after you turned the ignition on would come on as expected but some would then go dim instead of turning off. I thought there some issues so I ran a code scan but found no error codes and everything worked ok. I then concluded it was a faulty instrument cluster so I ordered a new one however….

After I installed a new (second hand) instrument cluster the light issue was fixed but I found the new instrument cluster needs to be coded in to the car as it stores the immobiliser keys etc. Coding this in is a different matter and if anyone had any ideas how to do this with a Autel that would be great. But the issue that this post is about is that me plugging in the new unit has wiped my ABS/ESP long coding and triggered the ABS, traction control & airbag light to come on. The error codes ready the brake module is not coded & has no basic setting (I know how to then fix the basic setting). Does anyone have the long code that I can try? I’ve been banging my head over this for a while now.

Yes before anyone says it I know I’m stupid and didn’t backup all the codes before I swapped over the unit but what’s done is done and I’ll take it as learning for next time. My vehicle specifics are listed below.

Skoda Fabia Reaction 12V 2014 (early)

ESP9.0

If you need any more information please let me know.

this has been causing me headaches for ages now and I really want it fixed. Thanks in advance.
