Ecco mode and Eco trip in Skoda Octavia 2017

Featured Replies

Hello friends

I was just wondering the mechanism inside the automatic gear box and cluth mechanism the way it engages and disengage

Is it really good to drive in Ecco mode in local traffic and local city drive???!!!!!

because I always think in my head that every time I release the paddle and eco trip starts

which is  good if it is long patch of road but in small roads it happens

so does every time some mechanism inside the assembly disengage and reengage cluth ?!!!!

is it bad for long term?!! In term of wearing of one part

or it design in that way so it won’t effect any parts wear and tear

any expert here ?! Can guide me to drive in ecco or normal for less future maintenance

thanks in advance

Which engine have you which will give an idea to which DSG you have, so a 2.0 TSI or TDI and a 6 speed Wet clutch DSG.?

If it is Coasting Mode that you are asking about when Eco selected?     It will not harm the DSG as whatever it does in disengaging drive was designed to do what it does.

I got 1.4 tsi dsg

Yeah coasting that’s the one

so it is not harmfull for dsg gearbox but does it effect cluth mechanism?!
Or in all way it’s fine to use ?!

I don’t know much about these things 😅😅@rooted
