Passenger doors and windows seem to be deadlocked

Featured Replies

Hi guys,Its been a while since I have been on here! The problem is I cannot open passenger doors from inside or outside and also windows do not work. Drivers sides ar ok! and lock and windows open.

Any ideas out there?

Many thanks

Take a look for broken wires in the rubber snake that goes from the drivers door to the body. Also check that you have a "drivers door open" icon on the dash when that door is open.

Yes PIK, the "drivers door open" icon does come on when drivers door is opened.

That rules out one possibilty. Did you check the elephants trunk for broken wires?  The controller in the driver's door sends signals to the other doors.

Hi PIK, many thanks for your input to this problem. I was in Aldi shopping and had a brainwave?? when I went back to the car. I pressed unlock/lock about 5 or six times and I could open the doors!! Result! Must have reset the central locking system! Anyway thanks a lot and hope it helps somebody else! Cheers.
