Karoq 1.6 dsg

Hi, I have a karog 1.6td dsg gearbox, 7 speed. What gearbox would it be in my car, and how often or even does it need the gearbox oil changed. It is a late 2018 car and has covered just under 57k. It was serviced by skoda at 2 years and 4 years, I do not know what the services covered, and it was "serviced" by Peter Vardy carz  when I bought it last June at 52k. I suspect this service consisted of an oil change only, as the tyre pressures were not set as the warning light was on upon collection. I shall be getting it serviced soon and would like to know if to change the dsg oil. I got a towbar fitted and it tows a caravan on occasion so this is why I'm asking. I know the timing belt interval has just been extended to 120k, but the intention will be to change it long before then.

It FWD & not AWD it has a DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG which has 2 oils in it, in the MCU and in the Box and there are no Guidelines, Recommendations or Schedule from Skoda .

/ VW for servicing / oil changes.

 

The Servicing should have been OIl & Inspection servicing, probably a Pollen Filter and at least the Air Filter looked at.

Brake Fluid changed by now.

@daviemck2006   I am originally from Macduff. Cousins and 2nd cousins around and about, Macduff, Banff & Whitehills.

 

For servicing or any work i recommend Victoria Garage Maud if you can be bothered going.

(They might advise changing both oils in your DQ200 and i would trust them. Do not let others without a clue touch the DSG.)
