Map - always on?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is it possible to just have the (local) map up and running without a destination being set?

My previous car (2012 VW Phaeton) which had a a very similar infotainment system had the option just to leave the map on.

Is it not possible with the Amundsen?

Thanks

What makes you think you can’t?

If it’s displaying the spider web of recent destinations, just hit the little arrow (in one of the corners, can’t remember which one as I don’t tend to use the built-in nav) to close that and show the map.

Mine is the same as Yogi-Bears. I always have the "spiders web" of destinations display when I first turn on the ignition but a press of the Nav button (top right of my Amundsen unit) displays the map of current situation.  No route is needed. Also the screen displays the Speed Limit for your location which is very useful at times whilst driving.
