Funny noise from wheel area AND warning light

Featured Replies

Guys

I have a couple of little problems with the car and would be grateful if anybody could help shed som light as to what I can look for.

1) ESP light on. The ESP light comes on and stays on despite not needing its 'intervention'! When turn the car off, it goes and then may not come back till part way through the next trip or sometimes not at all. Is this likely to be a worn or dirty sensor?

2) Bit more strange this one. When pulling away at LOW revs and low speed, faint noise from what sounds like the driver side wheel area. Like a rubbing noise, but doesn't persist. Concerned it might be a bearing...but then again I know nothing about that sort of stuff!! Have recently fitted larger brake discs but can't see what I would have affected?

Cheers

Chris

in response to number (2) my grandad had the identical thing on his 1900 tdi octavia so i took the drivers wheels and painted everything except the brakes in WD40 and hey presto the noise went! looks like it came to you but id try that:thumbup:
