Slight rattle at idle when warm and at around 2.5-3k revs

Featured Replies

Evening all, first post here.

Not long purchased a 2019 Skoda Octavia VRS Challenge, 245, Petrol DSG. The car has covered around 48k and has full Skoda history and has been looked after.

When the cars cold, there's an audible rattle, which I assume is the cars fuel system warming up the engine quicker, not a massive issue. But then the car is completely warm, there's a rattle from the engine area when idle in traffic and around 2.5k - 3k revs. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something to be concerned about? Any idea what it could be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome.

Maybe nothing to do with your question, but.

A Full Service history is good, what is it showing as been done, fixed or variable oil changes?

Were the spark plugs changed at 40,000 miles?

Has a VAQ diff been services at 30,000 miles / 3 years?

Has the air filter been replaced?

Hi, I don't think VAG or plugs have been done, but will do them both. I think it may be fuel line rattle on the body underside, seems to be a common issue.
