Felicia fault codes

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I wish I had found this forum earlier.

I have a problem with 1996 felicia 1.3 spi 136 engine.

It is over fueling. It Starts great but as soon as the temp rises it missfires looses power (sounds like a sack of hammers) A mechanic across the street said it was probably the coolant temp sensor. After looking in the haynes manual , which agreed with what he said I tried to locate it on the inlet manifold. - theres not one fitted.

Now the haynes manual says that there are two fitted to the 1.3 spi engine one on the thermostat housing and one on the Inlet manifold.

I have changed the one on the thermostat but I cannot locate the other one.

I have Cleaned the hall sensor, replaced the lamda sensor and had an engine diagnostic done by the local engine specialist.

The following codes showed but they have know idea what they are. (some expert)

Please help the codes are as follows

00515 (thought it might be the crank sensor)

17184

13056

sounds like my problem -bad TPS (throttle position sensor) over-riching the engine. you really need to call skoda technical support and they will tell you what those codes relate to

Hello

It sounds like a sack of hammers, if it was a Mitsubishi charisma it would sound like a bottle bank in an earthquake. OK does the temp sensor behave eratticly?? if so its the coolant housing it has a spring return value thing-a-ma-gig the guy in skoda said there Shiite! cheap plastic. the hole piece it comes with a temp sensor. it is located to the right of the 136 1.3MPI engine. one pipe going to the reservoir and a thicker one to the Fan on the front of the car. I had serious issues with over fuelling to. It killed bits all over the car lol. Well anyway. the housing was totally destroyed inside. and once replaced the car went like a dream. I did kill the cat and April of this year I had to replace it.

Total of what I replaced was. HT Champion Coil pack / Temp and housing for water coolant/ Cat / Middle box - unrelated = Back disks repair.

They do seam to have this recurring theme. it could of cost me only
